My name's Nathalie and I am SO pumped to celebrate your graduation with some super fun grad photos!

 

When I graduated from the University of Waterloo, I was not only excited to get my ‘expensive paper’ haha but also to get my professional grad headshot. It just feels like a right of passage you know? 

 

Well… I got my class composite headshots back and to kindly put it, the photos didn’t feel like me at all! I couldn’t imagine having any of the headshots printed and put on my parents’ mantle to show off my time at university.

 

I ended up hiring a professional photographer to take my photos (s/o to Lindsay Coulter, she killed it!). Having a professional photographer take my photos was by far one of my favourite things I did for myself when graduating. 

 

I had spent 5 years studying Environmental Studies with a double minor in Environmental Sciences and Human Resources. Throughout all of my co-ops I worked in the waste industry and during my final year, I researched and wrote a thesis paper about the waste management practices at universities and colleges across Canada. SO it was obvious we had to take some photos near the garbage receptacles on campus (I kid you not, these are some of my favourite grad photos).

 

We also took photos at all of my favourite locations on campus including the Waterloo sign and outside of EV3 where I spent most of my classes. These photos felt like ME.

 

So, this is the story of why I started KW Grad Photos. I want to make sure that you leave university or college with photos that feel like YOU. I want you to be excited to print your photos and share them to Instagram.
